International Observe the Moon Night: The Monkton Stargazers

Unfortunately due to weather conditions, this event has been postponed. Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates!

The event is a worldwide celebration of lunar science and exploration. We will use telescopes to observe the Moon which is in a good phase for observation. We will celebrate the cultural and personal connections we all have with our nearest neighbour. Also we will be able to see the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter.

Tell us a bit about this place

The only place in Kent with two observatories! The skies are reasonably dark and one can see the Milky Way on a clear night.
